step 1
Consultation
At this initial appointment, you will meet with The Suit Brother to discuss the particulars of your dream garment. How do you want it to fit? Is it for a special occasion? You will also select your fabric, lining, lapel, buttons, etc. - all details to create your perfect piece. Then, The Suit Brother will take about 20 measurements to ensure a custom fit from head to toe. All measurements are kept on file for each client and retained for future orders.
Note: a 60% deposit is required before construction of your garment can begin.
Custom made-to-measure suits start at $1095 and one-piece garments start at $650. Fabric & hardware upgrades and other enhancements can increase pricing.
Step 2
Fitting
Seven to 10 business days later, you will come back for what is called a BASTED FITTING. Essentially, the garment will be a skeleton, sewn together with white baste stitching. This allows our tailors to make any structural alterations necessary to perfect the garment’s fit. Basted fittings are standard for all new clients, but usually necessary for subsequent orders unless drastic changes have occurred to the client's measurements.
Step 3:
Delivery
4-6 weeks later, your garment will be ready for a final fitting. Some alterations may be necessary (which could take up to 5-10 business days). If not, the remainder of your balance is due and you're all set to take your custom garment home!
Note: Please bring the shoes that you plan to wear with your garment to this fitting.
